From August 17th to September 25th, Fengyang County established the "Fengyang People's Commune (Union)". The people of Xiaogang joined the "Xiaoxihe Satellite People's Commune".

On November 24th, the 18 households of farmers in Xiaogang production team, with the courage to be the first in the world, pressed 18 handprints and launched the production responsibility system, marking the beginning of China's rural reform.

In January, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference on agricultural work throughout the province. At the conference, the report "An Essential Supplement - Investigation on the Household Contracting of Xiaogang Production Team in Liyuan Commune, Fengyang County" was submitted to Wanli;

On January 24th, Comrade Wan Li personally visited the Xiaogang production team and conducted door-to-door investigations, strongly agreeing with the practice of Xiaogang contracting to households;

On May 31st, Comrade Deng Xiaoping pointed out in his speech "On Rural Policy Issues" that "the Fengyang Flower Drum" sings about Fengyang County, where the vast majority of production teams have engaged in large-scale work, has also turned the tide and changed its appearance in a year... affirming the responsibility system for large-scale work in Xiaogang Village.

On January 1, the Minutes of the Rural Work Conference, known as the "No. 1 central document", affirmed that various production responsibility systems, including "household responsibility system" and "household responsibility system", "are all production responsibility systems of the socialist collective economy".

On September 22nd, General Secretary Jiang Zemin visited Xiaogang Village for inspection.

In February, the Anhui Provincial Party Committee selected Comrade Shen Hao to serve as the first secretary of the village party organization in Xiaogang Village, and established a three-step development strategy of "developing modern agriculture, developing tourism, and attracting investment to revitalize Xiaogang Village".

On June 19th, the Da Bao Gan Memorial Hall was completed and opened, with Comrade Wan Li, former Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, personally inscribing the name of the museum.

In October, as Shen Hao's first term of appointment was coming to an end, the villagers of Xiaogang jointly pressed their red handprints and submitted an application to the Provincial Party Committee Selection Office and the Provincial Department of Finance to retain Shen Hao.

On September 30th, General Secretary Hu Jintao visited Xiaogang Village for inspection.

On July 19th, Xiaogang Village in Fengyang County was awarded the national 4A level tourist attraction;

On September 22nd, 186 villagers from Xiaogang pressed their red handprints on behalf of Shen Hao for the second time and once again requested the Provincial Organization Department (Selection Office) and Provincial Finance Department to retain Shen Hao;

On November 6th, Comrade Shen Hao passed away due to overwork and illness at his workplace;

On November 7th, the villagers of Xiaogang pressed a red handprint for Shen Hao for the third time and requested his family to bury his remains in Xiaogang.

On September 13th, Xiaogang Village was awarded the second Anhui Province Civilized Village and Town award;

On November 16th, Xiaogang Village was awarded the title of Rural Practical Talent Training Base. (Central Organization Department, Ministry of Agriculture);

In December, Xiaogang Village was awarded the title of National Civilized Village and Town by the Central Guidance Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction.

On June 28th, the Xiaogang Village Party Committee was awarded the title of National Advanced Grassroots Party Organization for Striving for Excellence;

In July, Xiaogang Village was the first in the province to carry out land ownership demonstration pilot work. Xiaogang Village has been awarded the title of "Anhui Province Cadre Education and Training Base" by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee.

The 13th National "Village Chief" Forum was held in Xiaogang Village from November 30th to December 1st.

On March 25th, Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Central Secretariat, visited Xiaogang Village for research;

In September, Xiaogang Village was awarded the title of National Ecological Culture Village by the China Ecological Culture Association.

On July 8th, Xiaogang Village in Anhui Province issued the first certificate of land ownership confirmation.

On April 25th, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Xiaogang Village and held a symposium on rural reform;

In July, it was awarded the sixth batch of National One Village One Product Demonstration Villages and Towns (Leisure Agriculture) by the Ministry of Agriculture.

In January, selected for the "National Red Tourism Classic Scenic Area List" (National Development and Reform Commission);

In September, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China awarded Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County, Anhui Province the title of China Beautiful Leisure Village.

On February 9th, at the dividend meeting of Xiaogang Village Collective Asset Stock Economic Cooperative, the villagers of Xiaogang Village received a dividend of 350 yuan per person for the first time as shareholders;

On April 25th, the Xiaogang Village Rural Revitalization Conference was successfully held to commemorate the second anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Xiaogang;

On June 2nd, the 19th Wanshou Forum was held in Xiaogang Village;

On September 8th, the new "two committees" of Xiaogang Village were successfully replaced;

On September 20th, the Chuzhou branch of the first "China Farmers' Harvest Festival" and the performance team of the 7th China Farmers' Song Festival visited Xiaogang Village;

On September 21st, the 2018 China Rural Reform 40 Years and China (Xiaogang) Rural Revitalization High Level Forum was held in Xiaogang Village, Anhui Province. Xiaogang Village held the first Farmers' Harvest Festival under the theme of "Hope for a bountiful autumn in the fields";

From September 26th to 28th, the large-scale themed interview activity organized by the Central Propaganda Department, titled "Glorious Eastern Tide Striving for a New Era - Celebrating 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up," visited Xiaogang Village in Fengyang County, Chuzhou City. The interview conducted on-site and research style interviews, comprehensively reporting on the new changes, new appearance, and new atmosphere of Xiaogang Village in the past 40 years;

On November 16th, the National Conference on the Pilot Promotion of Rural Collective Property Rights System Reform was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Han Changfu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, issued the first national certificate for the registration of rural collective economic organizations to the Xiaogang Village Collective Asset Stock Cooperative in Fengyang County. Li Jinzhu, First Secretary of the Xiaogang Village Party Committee, accepted the certificate, and the Xiaogang rural collective economic organization obtained an "ID card";

In November, the Xiaogang National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Anhui Province was approved for construction, making it the only national agricultural science and technology park located at the village level in China;

In December, it was awarded the titles of National Demonstration Point for "Sweeping Pornography and Illegal Publications" at the grassroots level and National Demonstration Model for "Sweeping Pornography and Illegal Publications" at the grassroots level;

On December 18th, the celebration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up was held in Beijing, and the leading group of "big responsibility" in Xiaogang Village was awarded the title of reform pioneer;

On December 29th to 30th, the first Anhui Provincial Village Chief Forum was held in Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County to celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up.

On January 22nd, the 2018 National Rural Revitalization Demonstration and Promotion Activity Awards Ceremony and the First Rural Revitalization Development Forum were held in Beijing. Xiaogang Village, Xiaoxihe Town, Fengyang County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, was awarded the title of National Rural Revitalization Demonstration Village;

On January 28th, Xiaogang Village held the 2018 collective economic dividend, with each villager receiving a dividend of 520 yuan;

On March 1st, the Xiaogang Industrial Park Management Committee was officially established, with Li Jinzhu, the first secretary of the Xiaogang Village Party Committee, serving as the director of the Xiaogang Industrial Park Management Committee;

On April 13th, the movie "Flowers Bloom on the Hill", co produced by the Propaganda Department of Chuzhou Municipal Committee and the Propaganda Department of Fengyang County Committee, based on the land transfer of Xiaogang Village, won the highest award at the 52nd Houston Film Festival - the Remy Award for Best Feature Film;

On April 26th, Xiaogang Party Education Center was completed and opened, which is the first village level party education center in Anhui Province;

On July 28th, Xiaogang Village was selected as one of the first batch of national key villages for rural tourism;

On August 19th, the excellent work radio drama "Xiaogang New Biography" filmed by Anhui Radio and Television Station with Xiaogang Village as the theme was included in the list of selected works for the 15th "Five One Project" of the Ministry of Propaganda's spiritual civilization construction;

On September 25th, the group of leading figures in the large-scale management was awarded the title of "Most Beautiful Striver";

On October 1st, the grand celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Li Jinzhu, the first secretary of the Xiaogang Village Party Committee, was invited to participate in the 70th anniversary themed float parade of the People's Republic of China as the first person on the "Field of Hope" themed float of the "Reform and Opening Up". The beautiful Anhui float featured elements of Xiaogang Village and a performance of Fengyang Flower Drum;

On October 7th, the former site of Xiaogang Village was selected as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units as an important historical site and representative building of modern times;

On November 19th, Xiaogang Village was named the second batch of national legal publicity and education bases, becoming the first national legal publicity and education base in Anhui Province;

On December 31st, Xiaogang Village was rated as a national rural governance demonstration village.

On January 16, Zhou Guangcheng, a volunteer lawyer in Xiaogang Village, won the title of exemplary individual in National Legal Aid and Public Legal Service;

On January 18th, Xiaogang Village held the 2019 Village Collective Asset Stock Cooperative Dividend Conference, with each shareholder receiving a dividend of 580 yuan;

On February 24, 12 tons of steamed rice worth 400000 yuan, jointly donated by the two committees of Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County, all villagers and Xiaogang Anhui Steamed Rice Food Technology Co., Ltd., were loaded and shipped to Wuhan, and sent to Hubei Provincial People's Hospital, Wuhan University Central South Hospital and other designated hospitals for the treatment of COVID-19 cases, to express high respect and firm support to white clad soldiers fighting in the front line of the "epidemic".
